Before this technology, tiles were hand-painted, which was both time-consuming and not accurate. Inkjet is like a computer printer, with four color jets that spray simultaneously, resulting in realistic and intricate patterns. We can thank this technology for the wood look tile trend; it truly combines the beauty of wood with the waterproof functionality of tile. There are realistic grain patterns available in many colors, including the high trending variations which mix all different shades.

Inkjet also gives realistic stone looks, be they marble, granite, travertine, quartz, or limestone, as well as other distinctive tile patterns, all of which add visual appeal and value to your property.

Textures & authenticity

With natural wood, you'll see scrapes, knots, raised grains, and even burns in weathered looks, and this also ties in with the realistic factor for wood looks. Technology, such as embossing and micro beveling, give these floors depth, dimension, and the textured looks of genuine wood. You'll also see this texture trend with carpets, especially the cut and loop, where you can create unique patterns and textures and frieze styles that have long fibers that are so tightly twisted they curl.
